Today I got to leave the office for a while because I had to go to the immigration office and make some changes to my work visa. Luckily there's an immigration branch office close to my company.

However, the mission was a bit of a failure, I wasn't able to get the updated visa because I didn't have all of the necessary documentation -- pretty typical. I ended up just waiting around for half an hour with all of these Russian prostitutes who were renewing their "Specialist in Humanities/International Services," visas, same type of visa as me.

The upside of it all was that I got to take a lot of pictures on the way over there, and that's where the first three photos in today's post are from. I posted the last photo, of Jack, in response to a certain complaint that reached my ears about how Monday's pictures of him were not up to snuff and just did not portray the vast depth of his cuteness. So, I fished around for a 'cute' picture, and that's what I came up with.

In other news, the computer shop was able to rescue the data on my dead computer, so please disregard the request for email addresses that I made in my last post on Monday.

It's been a while since I've had a baby-day here at hunkabutta. Karen and Jack will be home from Canada in a few days, and I just can't wait.

Intelligence reports from Vancouver have lead me to believe that Jack is an immensely popular baby in that part of the world. Yes, well, what else would you expect?

------------------------------

Some bad news on the technological front. My main computer at work died a couple of days ago. It's in the shop right now, but there's a chance that I'll lose the data that I had stored on it. For the most part this is no problem because I backed-up the really important stuff on CD, with one exception: my email addresses.

So, this is a call to all of my friends out there: PLEASE SEND ME AN EMAIL MESSAGE SO THAT I CAN GET YOUR ADDRESSES.

I will repeat this call in future posts to make sure as many people as possible see it.

Even if you don't consider yourself 'my friend', please feel free to drop me a line. I love getting email.

How embarrassing! It turns out I was wrong about Karen and Jack's return date. They're actually coming back on the 25th, next Thursday.  I guess I was just too eager to have them back and assumed that they'd be flying in on the weekend.

Oh well, I guess one more weekend of pizza and beer won't kill me.

Karen and Jack are coming home this weekend -- Yaay! I sure do miss 'em.

The most cynical and sarcastic comic that I have ever read in my life can be found here. It's about "Operation Enduring Freedom".
