Today's our last day in Toronto -- Tomorrow I go back to Tokyo and Karen to Vancouver. We were planning to go with my parents to Niagara Falls today, but unfortunately Karen isn't feeling up to it. She's spent the whole day sleeping. I feel bad for her, but what can you do?

Yesterday was great, we went all over Toronto -- The Annex, Younge St., Kensington, the Beaches, High Park. In the evening we met our friends Jenn and Rob down at the Lava Lounge on College and Bathurst, fun time had by all.

Next Hunkabutta posting will be coming to you straight from good ole' Tokyo, Japan.  Until then... sayonara.

Can you believe it? I've only been on vacation for three days, but already I'm sick. I've got a cold, though not a bad one. Karen's got a bit of one too. We'll be okay, but it's kind of slowing us down.

We were planning to go downtown today, but ended up running errands in crappy-ole Mississauga again. Tomorrow we're going to have a big day and night in the big city, for sure. Expect some good pics.

Mississauga is uglier than I remember -- more strip malls, and now countless giant mega-stores. On the upside, the people are much friendlier than I remember, or could it be that I'm more friendly now, I'm not sure.

I'll be heading back to Tokyo on Friday and Karen will be going to Vancouver. It's been way too short here, but I couldn't really get anymore time off of work.

Above are a few shots from our pit stop at a Mississauga park yesterday. It was the first time that Karen has ever seen a Great Lake -- not as momentous as it sounds.

To say that it feels strange to be back in my hometown of Mississauga, Ontario would be an understatement. I'm suffering from space anxiety -- too much room, not enough people. And the food! My mother has a fridge the size of Christ and she's told me that she wants to buy a bigger one. In Japan the fridges are tiny and only hold enough food for a few days.

It's been three years since I've left Asia and I'm surprised at how old everyone now looks -- myself included. I suppose that's to be expected.

I haven't driven a car in about three years either, and after I post this page I'm going to take Karen for a spin around the old neighborhood.

She's enjoying herself, and everyone is treating her like a little princess. Yesterday we went to my cousin's daughter Sam's birthday party and Karen  got to meet a big chunk of my family for the first time. It went well. Above are a few photos from that event.
